What I Do
01
Complete course design and delivery for colleges and universities. Practical, jargon-free AI instruction built for real classrooms.
02
Hands-on help identifying where AI fits in your workflow, selecting the right tools, and building systems that actually work.
03
Engaging sessions for professional development days, conferences, and corporate training. Tailored to your audience and goals.
Selected Work
A production-ready stock analysis system that screens 50–500+ equities using multiple AI models. Built in two versions — a WordPress plugin for existing sites, and a standalone web implementation for custom deployments. Includes a PHP backend and integrations with Claude, GPT-4, and Ollama for zero-cost local inference.
A complete college-level course designed for Continuing Education programs. Dual-track structure serves both business and technical learners. Uses free, locally-run Ollama so students pay nothing for AI access.
Designed, built, and deployed the hands-on lab infrastructure for Check Point's globally recognized Security Administrator certification course. A 9-machine virtual network running on Microsoft Azure, deployed across multiple Authorized Training Centers worldwide.
Designed and built with Next.js using a static export deployed to shared hosting — no Node.js required on the server. Demonstrates that modern React development is accessible on standard infrastructure.
About
I spent nearly four decades at the University of South Carolina — in the School of Medicine, the Arnold School of Public Health, Creative Services, and the College of Information and Communication. I learned how large institutions work, what they need, and how to make technology actually useful inside them.
Now I focus on AI — building practical tools, designing curriculum that works in real classrooms, and helping organizations move from curiosity to capability. I hold an M.A. in Digital Media Technology from USC and a B.A. in Journalism. I'm currently Professional Faculty at USC's College of Information and Communication.
